CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Kimberly Young, Executive Director of Continuing and Professional Studies, is currently looking for session ideas in the professional development and personal enrichment categories. If you have an idea for a non-credit class session or course in continuing and professional studies she’d love to hear from you! Any idea that would focus on topics to help professionals to do their jobs better and advance in their careers is welcome.

Possibilities include topics that help professionals with critical thinking or subject areas appealing to teachers.  Personal enrichment topics should be of personal or professional interest to you.

There’s no need for a full proposal at this point. Just express your interest via e-mail and Kimberly will connect with you in January after the break to follow up.   She can be reached at kyoung3@umw.edu. If you’d like to chat with her to learn more about the kinds of programs she has in mind, she can be reached by phone at 540-286-8076. Her office is on the Stafford Campus in the South Building, room 124.

The development of new opportunities for non-credit programs serving persons interested in non-traditional and continuing education is listed as one of the goals in UMW”s Strategic Plan 2020. Why not take a few moments to think about how you might contribute to this important endeavor and then pitch your idea to Kimberly.
